AmFirst Launches 2025 Feeding Families Across Alabama Food Drive

AmFirst is proud to once again host our annual Feeding Families Across Alabama Food Drive, which runs from Tuesday, July 1, through Thursday, July 31, in partnership with ABC 33/40. All 21 AmFirst branches will serve as donation centers, accepting nonperishable food items and monetary contributions to support local food banks throughout the state.

Supporting Our Communities, One Meal at a Time

The need in our communities is urgent, with one in five people experiencing food insecurity and one in four children not consistently having access to enough food. AmFirst is dedicated to helping close this gap by supporting local organizations that work daily to nourish and empower our neighbors.
To help bridge that gap, all donations collected at Central Alabama branches will benefit the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama, which provides more than 10 million meals yearly to 230 food pantries, shelters, and children’s programs across 12 counties. Meanwhile, donations at our Mobile branch will go directly to The Love All Pantry, which feeds over 900 families weekly, distributing typically 40 to 50 pounds of food per household.

How You Can Help
Donation boxes will be available inside the lobbies of each AmFirst branch throughout July. Community members are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items, including:
– Canned goods
– Cereal, oatmeal, or grits
– Dried or canned beans
– Pasta and pasta sauce
– Brown or white rice
– Peanut butter and jelly

Please note: Glass items cannot be accepted.
In addition to food, monetary donations are also appreciated. If contributing by check, please make it payable to the appropriate organization based on your location:
– Community Food Bank of Central Alabama (all branches except Mobile)
The Love All Pantry (Mobile branch)

Together, We Can Make a Difference
The need is real and growing. With over 60,000 individuals at risk of hunger in Central Alabama and hundreds of families relying on weekly support in Mobile, your donations help ensure no family goes without nourishment during the summer.

We invite all members, neighbors, and partners to join AmFirst in giving back. Let’s fill those boxes, restock local shelves, and make a meaningful impact!
