Q:  What do I do if I suspect fraudulent activity on my debit card?

Q:  What do I do if my debit card is lost or stolen?
A:  Call 866-673-6571.

Q:  I received an automated call regarding a charge on my debit card.  Who is this, and what should I do?
A:  Falcon Fraud Protection (see below, under Card Protection Programs) has detected a questionable purchase on your debit card.  Call 866-673-6566 ASAP.  You will be asked a series of security questions to confirm your identity before any account information can be discussed.

Q:  There is a block on my debit card.  How to I get it removed?
A:  Call 205-320-4170 or 1-800-633-8431 extension 4170.

Q:  Why is there a block on my debit card while I’m traveling outside the state of Alabama?
A:  Falcon’s “Flash Fraud” Rules provide a parameter-driven set of rules to help catch and block suspect transactions falling into specific risk categories. Chances are, you’ve tried to make a purchase in an area and/or store where there has been recent fraud activity reported.

Q:  Can I prevent my debit card from being blocked while traveling outside the state of Alabama?
A:  Yes. Call our Card Services department and tell them your travel dates at 205-320-4170 or 1-800-633-8431 extension 4170.

Q:  What if I have credit card inquiries while America’s First is closed?
A:  Call 1-855-341-4650 for 24/7 credit card inquiries.

FALCON FRAUD PROTECTION

Falcon is an automated fraud-detection service that helps protect your America’s First debit card and credit card.  Your card transactions are monitored to detect any fraudulent spending activity.  Falcon is a free service for America’s First debit card and credit card holders.  Falcon is on watch 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year helping to prevent the unauthorized use of your card information.

How it works:

  • If Falcon detects a questionable purchase on your card, you will be contacted.
  • You will be asked to confirm if the purchase was made by you.
  • If you confirm that you made the purchase, your card will not be affected.
  • If the transaction was fraudulent, a block will be placed on your card.

Falcon will contact the phone number that America’s First currently has on file for your account.  To update your phone number, call 205-320-4170 or 1-800-633-8431 extension 4170.

America’s First Visa® debit and credit card holders can now receive real-time transaction alerts via text message.

Simply set your alert preferences, and you’ll receive a text message when there has been a transaction on your account.
