How to Join
America’s First Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution owned by its members. It’s easy to become a member at America’s First. To become a member of America’s First, you must first open a share (savings) account with a minimum of $5.00.
America’s First is a community chartered credit union, so you can become a member if you live, work, worship or attend school in one of the following counties:
- St. Clair
You are also eligible if you live, work, worship or attend school in certain areas of Mobile and Talladega counties.
Membership is extended to immediate family members of all current members of America’s First.

If you would like to add or delete a joint owner of an account, download and complete the Joint Account Agreement and mail it to Member Services, P.O. Box 11349, Birmingham, AL 35202 or bring it to any branch.
Important Information about procedures for opening a new account:
Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record all information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
