COVID-19 Business Help & Information

COVID-19 has made a big impact on all of our lives. At AmFirst we are focused on protecting your well-being while also providing you with the help you need to stay on track financially.

Current Hours & Operations

AmFirst branch lobbies will reopen and resume normal business hours on Monday, June 8.

As we reopen, we will continue to follow the guidelines and recommendations of local authorities and public health officials. Branch lobbies will operate with limited capacity. Markers have been placed on branch floors to ensure proper social distance between individuals.

AmFirst staff will wear face-masks. We also encourage those enter the branch to wear a nose and mouth mask, and to use hand sanitizer. Please note, for our branches within Birmingham city limits, the Birmingham city mask ordinance requiring people to cover their mouth and nose while in public remains in effect until June 12.

To maintain account security, we may ask you to remove your mask briefly to confirm your identity.

If you have a fever or flu-like symptoms, please use the drive-thru.

Many of our branches also feature video teller ITMs in the drive-thru that allow you to conduct most teller transactions from the comfort of your car. For ITM locations, please click HERE. Video Teller ITM hours are 7am – 6pm Mon – Fri.

We continue enhanced cleaning and sanitizing of our facilities and equipment including ATMs and drive-thrus. In addition, we are closely monitoring the well-being of all our staff members and have procedures in place to allow anyone who may be ill, or has been exposed to illness, to remain at home.

 

Paycheck Protection Program

The CARES (the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Act recently passed into law includes a provision known as the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) designed to provide financial relief to help small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program, managed by the Small Business Administration (SBA), provides 100% federally guaranteed loans to small businesses with 500 or fewer employees to assist with payroll, healthcare costs, rent, utilities and mortgage interest.

We stand ready to work with you to prepare and submit your application for PPP funds.

You must be a member of the credit union with an established business account to apply for a PPP loan through AmFirst.  New members may apply to open a business account and then for a PPP loan once the new member’s business account has been established .

Please call your local branch to open a new business account.
The process can be completed remotely for existing AmFirst members. New members may sign the required documents by using the drive-thru or making a branch appointment.
