General Use: As a general policy, AFFCU does not automatically collect personal information from visitors to our Web site. AFFCU does collect and store information on the domain a member uses to access our Web site (AOL, Netscape, Internet Explorer, etc.), the Internet address of the Web site page from which a member links to our site and the date and time of the member's visit to our site. This information is used to measure the number of visitors to our site and the route a member travels while within our site to better serve members in improved design and site navigation.

Member-Only Areas: Personal identification (i.e. account number, password) is collected when a valid credit union member with an active credit union account has registered to enter our secure Online Account Access. This information enables us to regulate access of this information only to those who request such access and those entitled to perform transactions on these account(s).

Online Forms: AFFCU provides several online forms (i.e. loan application, check order, etc.) to better serve the needs of our members. Personal information provided by a member via any of our online forms is used by AFFCU only to process the member's request for service. The information contained in these forms is transmitted on secure lines and processed by authorized personnel.

E-mail Communication: Personal information transmitted to AFFCU may be used by our staff to respond to inquiries for service or information or improve the service we provide. E-mail communication is secure against interception by unauthorized individuals.

The Credit Union will collect only the personal information that is necessary to conduct our business. That means just what is necessary to provide competitive financial products and services and no more. We collect this information about you from applications and other forms, information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, and information we receive from consumer reporting agencies.

The Credit Union discloses nonpublic personal information about its members and former members to companies that offer financial products and services, including insurance products and securities brokerage companies. The Credit Union also discloses nonpublic information to other nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.

The Credit Union will partner only with businesses that follow strict confidentiality requirements. The businesses we select will offer products designed to enhance our members' economic well-being. Under no circumstances will we authorize those firms to charge your account without your express consent, and we will not sell member information to telemarketing firms.

If you prefer that we not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties you may opt out of these disclosures, that is, you may direct us not to make those disclosures to nonaffiliated third parties.
